they only wish to hire robots! Someone that can take orders and not ask any questions? If you have experience you will probably leave after you see how they treat people. My2cents

: There are several hundred companies
: that love to recruit Veterans. I
: have tried on several occasions to
: get hired by other railroads using
: my military and railroad experience.
: I think the killer is my railroad
: experience, they don't want you to
: bring your old habits with you...or
: so it seems. Back about 3 years ago
: I was in a NS recruiting session, 10
: women there they all got to stay for
: the second round. It sucks that
: there has to be a quota on how
: "diverse" your workforce
: has to be.

: Everyone is a possibility, but I
: know
: from a inside source, that-that is
: mainly all they look for, and the
: others don't stand a chance. I even
: know of a person that just served in
: the military, tested this matter
: out, and proved for the next coming
: round of hiring, he was called on
: the first day to go to testing ( a
: new thing they are doing now). I had
: a lady test the Human Resource
: people out, and got a quick callback
: after leaving a message pretending
: to be interested in the job. Now,
: another person with experience (a
: good man too), has tried numerously
: that last few hiring rounds, got
: ignored, and didn't even get a phone
: called returned back to them after
: leaving messages. Considering the
: WLE's turnover rate, I'd look a
: little harder at experienced people
: that may of benefit to the staff at
: the railroad. So far, these tests of
: mine the WLE Human Resource people
: are failing, and everything I'm
: hearing turns out to be the truth.

: Good luck getting the idiot Human
: Resources to hire you back. They're
: after all miltiary vets, women, and
: non-experineced people.
