Does anyone know of a possible cause?
All I know from driving along the tracks, at least one wheelset rode the ties until it hit the private road crossing of the Smith farm then more come off the rails because the ties seemed more tore up west of that crossing until it hit the Rt 50 road crossing which did them in. And it looks like it was on the ground more than a quarter mile from what I said in one of my other posts.
