That all fits. Thanks for the info. AVR's schedule varies somewhat from day to day, depending on their switching chores down the line, but I've rarely seen them "homebound" after 9pm - and never later than 11pm. I assumed it was WLE from the sound, but didn't know anything more. They regularly pick up empties at Bruceton, in the late afternoon or early evening, heading east. I take a walk around 5pm - 6pm, hoping to meet up with them. It would take a lot of caffeine to see the loaded trains heading for Rook at 3am - 4am. Maybe one of these days... On a separate note, I've seen different power running back and forth lately: The yellow/red WLE 2679 and Rio Grande 3045 are making the rounds, instead of the usual 303/305 pairing.
Sorry, no pictures of 2679/3045. Take heart, Brian: I need to take my camera with me, before I can learn to use it! By the way, chances for a WLE/AVR "over-under" at the crossing are roughly zero. The schedules come close, occasionally, but don't work out. -Todd --Previous Message-- : TK: Most of the time the empties head : east thru Bruceton in the evening, : and the loads return in the dead of : night.
