The Wisconsin Executive Committee voted 4 to 1, with one abstaining, to make the Age-Break at age 50, for the Awards Ceremony at future Wisconsin NASA Meets.
To reiterate, nothing whatsoever will change about the Divisions that you enter, or where you can set State or National Records. However, at the Awards Ceremony for Wisconsin Meets, we will now group people into either the Open Division(5 to 49), or the Masters Division(50+), in determining placement at the Meet. We will ask Lifters who are 50+, at the Weigh-ins, whether they want to be classified in the Open or Masters.
This will not affect the State Records, the National Records, the WI Top 10 Lists, or the National Top 100 Lists, in any way whatsoever.
It is hoped that this will foster greater competition, by allowing Lifters to see how they match up.
On a Meet by Meet basis, we may also put the Equipped and Unequipped Lifters together, using The Galileo Factor to arrive at an Adjusted Coefficient. Once again, this would not affect any Records or Top 10/100 Listings.
