Entry Forms are going out this weekend, for The COLOSSAL One(4/25/09). We are sending Entry Forms, directly, to Lifters in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan. We have also placed a Quarter Page Ad in Powerlifting USA Magazine in January, February, and March(page 69 in January). The Waukesha EXPO Center has placed a link about the Event on their Webpage.
Lifters who lifted in the 2009 Chippewa Classic are reminded that they have 12 more days to send in their American and State Record forms. We have received many, already, but I know some Lifters have set Records, and we have not yet received their forms.
Lifters may receive a $20 Credit toward their Entry Fee at The COLOSSAL One, if they have me quote their auto insurance, and they have not received a quote from me in the last 18 months.
Lifters may receive a $5 Gas Credit if they are traveling more than 150 miles, one way, to a Meet. If 3 or 4 Lifters carpool together, this can be a $15 or $20 savings. You must send in a mapquest.com set of directions with your Entry Form, to get the discount. The Gas Credit discount cannot be taken at the Meet, nor on Entries sent after the Late Fee Deadline.
The Late Fee Deadline for the April 25th Meet is April 15th. Entries postmarked after that date will have to pay a $10 Late Fee. Entries will be accepted all the way up to the morning of the Meet, with the Late Fee.
ROOM BLOCKS
We have 2 Room Blocks set up for The COLOSSAL One.

Rate is $60 per night for singles, and $65 per night for doubles. We only have 20 Rooms blocked, and the cutoff date is April 1st, 2009, to receive the NASA Group Rate. Don't wait until the rooms are gone or the rate deadline has expired.
THE MARRIOTT - (262) 574-0888 for Reservations.
Rate is $89 per night. We only have 30 Rooms blocked, and the cutoff date is March 25th, 2009. The Marriott is also the location of the Friday Night Weigh-ins(4/24/09)[6PM to 8PM], and the location of the Annual Banquet, where we will Confer the 2008 Wisconsin Athlete of the Year Awards. The Annual Banquet is from 8PM to 10PM. We will have more details about the Annual Banquet in the MARCH WI PL News posting.
If you lift in both NASA and the USAPL, please encourage the Wisconsin USAPL Leadership to accept our invitation to compete with us(NASA). We will reciprocate and send a Team to their State Meet, next year.
