There is a Fond Du Lac Lifter named Steve Shaw that is spreading lies about myself, and about NASA, on many different Forums around the internet.
To be fair to Steve Shaw, I believe that Jim Ray contacted him directly, and persuaded him that I am somehow responsible for the steroid user Tim Bhruner ripping on Steve, on the www.goheavy.com Forum.
This was only the straw that broke the Camel's Back, and Jim Ray is now no longer welcome in NASA, nor at any of our Wisconsin NASA Meets. This decision was made at different levels within NASA, and it is not open for discussion.
Here is a Chronology, to the best of my ability to discern, of what happened:
1)Steve Shaw posts on the Wisconsin Power Talk Forum, a legitimate question about his Squat Depth, and includes a photo.
2)I(Job) respond to him, indicating that his Squat Depth is good in the photo, and explaining that the hip must go below the top of the knee, but that the whole upper leg does not have to break parallel.
3)Jim Ray hijacks the discussion over to NASA's National Training Forum, and disagrees.
4)I respond to Jim Ray, indicating that he has spent too much time watching what the USAPL thinks is a good Squat, that his interpretation of the Squat rule on depth is too strict, and I post a link to Steve Shaw's Good Squat photo.
5)Later, a person at my home gym that doesn't like Jim Ray, also posted Steve's Squat photo on www.goheavy.com and www.outlawpowerlifting.com, and indicating a general disbelief that Jim Ray could consider this a high Squat[[I have 4 computers at my house connected to a wireless router, and I leave an area of my house open so that the 6 to 10 people that lift in my gym every week can use a bathroom and check NASA Records on the computer, etc.]]. Although goheavy deleted the thread, the post generally said something like, "Jim Ray thinks this Squat is high?"
6)In a series of posts back and forth between Steve Shaw and Tim Bhruner, Bhruner rips Steve a new anal oriface. Other Trolls also pick on Steve on the Outlaw Forum.
7)Steve Shaw blames me, and sends me an e-Mail shortly after 5 AM on 3/3/08, asking why I caused him to be ridiculed on the internet.[[No logical person that I have talked to thinks what other people posted about Steve is my fault.]]
8)During the 7 AM hour on 3/3/08, I responded to Steve's e-Mail, gave him my cell phone number, and asked him to call me to discuss directly, rather than try and discuss it hit-n-miss via e-Mail. Until I can talk to him, and straighten things out, I temporarily ban is ISP on the Wisconsin Power Talk Forum.(Bhruner and Ray are permanently banned)
9)Just before 5 PM on 3/3/08, Steve Shaw begins to post a vicious anti-NASA/anti-Job message on many different Lifting Forums across the internet, falsely stating that I did not respond to his 5 AM e-Mail, and falsely stating that I was responsible for his being ridiculed.
Based upon Steve's behavior, I am not inclined to lift the ban on his ISP on the Wisconsin Power Talk Forum, anytime soon.
