I'd have Skater Mouse professionally repaired and then, if you still want to, put it up for sale either on this board or ebay. You'll need to state in the description it has been professionally repaired. Personally, if a piece has been professionally repaired I don't know why it necessarily loses value but that seems to be the way it is. That is a great piece and definitely worth saving.
