You could do a murder mystery, just make it a medieval based one. Heck, they had all kinds of stuff like that in those days, remember the missing princes?

: I vote for Mobs & Gangsters especially because
: I like the idea of the murder mystery. We would
: attend FTF to solve a crime. LOL

: I also vote Rodentaissance, I was in Linda's
: group!
: I love the whole dragon/knight theme. I want to
: see Tim's "Ride the Dragon" idea!
: Also, I think that the mobsters theme would be
: more limiting in what pieces you would be able to
: use.

: I've reserved the Doherty Hotel for the last
: weekend in September: September 24-26. I know
: that's technically a week early, but they have a
: regular group in during that first weekend in
: October.
:
: I have two possible themes in mind. LMK what you
: think:
:
: 1. The infamous Purple Gang used to hang out in
: the Grill Room of the Doherty Hotel in the late
: 20s thru late 30s. They murdered a prominent
: Clare businessman there in 1938, which was quite
: exciting for that little midMichigan town. How
: about a gangster theme? Anyone know where I
: could get some miniature violin cases? There is
: a reinactment play floating around somewhere that
: we might use as a jumping off place for our
: activities: murder, mayhem, prohibition
: rum-running, safe-cracking, etc.
:
: OR
:
:
: 2. Wee Forest Rodentaissance Festival. Kings,
: queens, serfs, turkey legs, javelins, and
: joisting competitions all set against a backdrop
: of lush wealth and debauchery.
