I have around 700 in my curio and there's only two things that have persuaded me to empty it out in 10 years: a threatening hurricane and getting new carpeting. Each time I took a clean makeup brush, dusted each mouse, carefully packed it up in either an egg carton or a WFF box and packed the smaller boxes in large cartons or styrofoam coolers. Then we removed the glass shelves and cleaned them, along with the mirrored back and bottom of the case. It took me 2 weeks to get ready for the new carpeting; only a day for the hurricane. (We can see which is the stronger motivator.)
I like Geoff's idea of weatherstripping. It's better than replacing the curio, which is my next step. I HATE dusting these little guys!
