Of course it would be nice if other retailers got a chance to have special events. But I am sure it depends (in part) on sales and if they put on a quality event that will bring people back again.
What I don't understand is if you have never even met anyone from FairyTales, how can you be so sure you don't like them? I think Jim, Rochelle and family are great people, and do a wonderful job with their events!

: i wouldn't mind seeing another event with someone
: else. i've never met anyone from FT, but i'm sure
: i don't like them.
:
: nancy and i are mortal enemies so FTF is out for
: me. She wouldn't even register me last year and
: told everyone i just couldn't make it.
:
: what else is there? expo? that's on the left
: coast. going to california is like walking over
: an indian burial ground for a conservative.
:
: i'd love to see more events around the country.
: to make up for the extra pieces for the events,
: the factory could retire a ton of the pieces in
: production now. spreading the events around could
: increase the interest in the line with more
: people involved.

: Why not other retailers, Such as Presence,
: Creative
: Hands, Concord Mousetrap, etc.. There are others
: that are just as deserving as F.T.. Maybe the
: decision was one made by the factory out of
: necessity.
: The volume of great special pieces made available
: last year created a glut of other pieces. Now
: would be the time for collectors to play catch-up
: with the regular line pieces. Economically that
: makes sense.
: In regards to events coming top an end; I've
: never heard anything to suggest that they are
: ending. There is nothing wrong with taking a
: break from the frenzy of special events, and with
: the way things are looking for the upcoming year,
: it might be the right time for a break. (
: BTW....I Don't Believe It !!! )

: If you would like to see another WFF event
: sponsored by Fairy Tales, just email the WFF
: factory at: office@weeforestfolk.com and let them
: know how you feel. It can & should be
: scheduled for a different time of year so as not
: to conflict with either Expo or FTF. The factory
: is interested in what the collectors want.
: I, for one, would hate to see these marvelous
: events come to an end. The exciting new pieces
: and the events themselves were what kept me
: interested in collecting, when I had all but
: given up hope of anything really new or exciting
: in the line. (BTW, I am in no way connected with
: any WFF retailer or WFF event.)
