Looking at the qualifying rounds, almost all the clubs involved play other clubs geographically close to them. This can't be a coincidence?
When they do the draws, do they do seperate draws for different areas? I think so; here's the proof:
E.G.
Second Round Qualifying
I'll use the first 10 results in order that they were drawn[In bold if they are geogphically near to each other]
1 Whitby Town 0–5 Vauxhall Motors
2 Warrington Town 2–0 Radcliffe Borough
3 Congleton Town 0–1 Frickley Athletic
4 Lincoln United 2–1 Jarrow Roofing Boldon Community Association 151
5 Kendal Town 2–0 Ossett Town
6 Droylsden 0–2 FC Halifax Town 902
7 Horden Colliery Welfare 1–4 Burscough 86
8 Blyth Spartans 7–1 Ossett Albion 507
9 North Ferriby United 0–1 FC United of Manchester 838
10 Hyde United w/o Salford City N/A
Definition: 'The competition is a knockout tournament with pairings for each round drawn at random – there are no seeds, and the draw for each round is not made until after the scheduled dates for the previous round.'
Why arn't we seeing Northern clubs draw Southern clubs? Is it done intentionally by the FA who do it hopeing no one will notice?
I may have missed something ![]()
obvious that says the FA cup qualifying round draws are done area by area?
Can someone explain this?
