With both Andy Wilde and Matt Elverson on the bench undefeated took on Cray from The Premier League in this FA Cup Qualifier A team who beat us a few weeks ago in a pre season friendly.
New boy Tarby ? came in to replace injured Pinnock up front to join Julien Thompson up front.
The first half saw The Swans keeper make 2 excellent saves to keep us in the game and come out for the second half all square at 0-0.
Within seconds of the restart The Swans won a penalty and Tarby came forard to score his first goal for the club and put us 1-0 up.
Although arguably we were having more of the second half Cray got back in the came when aclearance hit a Cray forward and went to equalise 1-1.
Then it happened, our new forward who had been a handful all game with his sharpness and harassing beat 2 Cray defenders and cooly gave the keeper no chance with the best goal at the lane this season to make it 2-1.He reminded me of Sam Bullock on loan at The Lane 2-3 years ago from MK Dons. What a find.
Shame Julien Thompson still hasn't as yet hit the form we expect from him and Danny Greene, who came on as his replacement in the second half still has a lot to do for me to prove he is worth a place in the squad.
He was put through and unchallenged and with time decided to chip the their keeper rather than take it further forward or place it only to lob it into the keepers hands and a chance lost to secure the game.He needs to be far more aggressive and have a more killer approach rather than just rely on his undoubted talents.
Great victory, still unbeaten and in the pot for Mondays draw.
