This really has nothing to do with AMC or David/VI, but it's a peek into what can be the ugly world of TV entertainment. And I do remember the condescending way Oprah dismissed taking on soaps. Perhaps that was a good thing in retrospect.

Not a very flattering article about Rosie ...

I have a feeling OWN won't be here for much longer.

Oprah would have done better if she would have done one of the soaps ... it would have come with a guaranteed audience ...

Imagine if she had taken TWO! Very short-sighted in retrospect IMO.

The irony was the reasoning why Rosie didn't air during daytime, which could have helped her find her footing: no strong, original lead-in programming, hello ...
