Some hilarious stuff in here! LOL By Kate Brown For the week of October 26th … It was wonderful, wasn’t it? It took my breath away. It was moving. Not to mention surprising. I was almost in tears. Of course, I am talking about Adam in his aubergine sweater. I feared he would be wearing the worst-plaid-jacket-in-the-world for the rest of the year. Another great surprise? Adam mentioned the Valley Inn. Please let his remark foreshadow its return. The Valley Inn is a classic. Confusion already feels dated. And cramped. The Valley Inn’s bar has less square footage but never felt small. Or cheap. What wasn’t surprising? Adam being the one who shot Stuart. Subtlety has never been Charles Pratt’s strong suit, but this was ridiculous. It pains me to say this, but Megan McTavish did a better job keeping Michael Cambias’ murderer a secret. I called it on June 8th and, really, who didn’t? On the plus side, it did not drag on as long as the Mirabess mess. David Canary will be wonderful. Hopefully, the fallout will focus on the Chandler family rather than every peripheral character’s reaction to the truth. The downside is that Stuart is still dead. Sigh. The worst line of the week? “What’s with this weather? You’d think we were in LA instead of Pennsylvania.” We know you are destroying moving AMC. You do not have to rub our faces in it. The best line of the week? “I want to go with mommy to the Big House.” How sweet that she wants to keep her mommy company in prison. Of course, Emma meant Casa Chandler but the line made me smile anyway. Will this week’s spoilers make us smile? Or will they have us wanting to bury our faces in Adam’s aubergine sweater-while he is wearing it? Let’s see: Amanda ponders David’s offer. Jake is hurt that Amanda is pondering, not outright refusing, David’s offer. However, Jake mans up and hides his feelings. A Martin man hiding his feelings of disappointment. Have to admit, it’s an original concept. Amanda surprises David with her own list of demands. I think David will enjoy this. He admires how she refuses to be his victim. Amanda wants to turn down David’s offer but Jake disagrees. Why doesn’t Jake just say, “Take her, she’s yours” ? Jake and Amanda make love for the last time. I should feel bad about this but I don’t. David tells his daughter some unpleasant truths about her future. I really do not care about this. I will probably doze off as much during Marissa’s future as I do during her present. Pausing for a moment to share my latest fantasy. Randi and Marissa fall in love. Not wanting to cause JR and Frankie any further pain, they leave Pine Valley. We never hear about them again. Instead of taking care of Stuart, Bailey goes to the Halloween party at Confusion. Oh, and she brings a date-Stuart’s father. This irritates Liza. Given that Liza hands Stuart off to Colby 80% of the time, isn’t she being just a tiny bit hypocritical? Krystal cries on Tad’s shoulder. She is distraught about her inability to have any more children. I am thrilled that Krystal’s reproducing days are over, how about you? Zach’s questioning has Adam near the breaking point. Scott puts an end to the interrogation. Scott is the perfect example of someone being in an untenable situation. Adam and Annie decide to postpone their wedding. They won’t wed until Emma is ready to accept it. And thus, Emma learns how effective blackmail can be. Emma watches Adam playing with Lil’A. She changes her mind and tells her mother to go ahead with the wedding. Watching Adam with children always softens me up, too. Remember him comforting Kathy after Julia died? A quick tears moment. Zach, Erica and Ryan decide the only way to stop Annie’s and Scott’s interference is to lock them in the elevator. One person’s “interference” is another’s “doing anything to protect my family.” Annie starts to freak out. Scott does his best to calm her down by kissing her. One person’s “kissing your uncle’s fiancée” is another’s “trying to stop her from totally freaking out.” Zach, Erica and Ryan do their best to recreate the night Stuart died. Their plan works. Adam remembers shooting his brother. Note to self: remember to put tissue box within easy reach. Aidan makes it possible for Kendall and Zach to communicate. They will stay in touch via a poetry chat room. Horrific memories of “penny, brown penny” come rushing back. Longtime OLTL viewers, you know what I am talking about. Aidan’s romantic feelings for Kendall return. Right after telling her that he thinks he will never find true love. Poor Spotted Dick. Poor deluded Spotted Dick. Jesse tells Zach the bad news that Natalia may have found Kendall and Aidan. I am confused. Natalia, fresh out of the Police Academy, has tracked down an escaped felon and her accomplice. Shouldn’t Jesse, both as her father and as the Chief of Police, be, ummm, proud? Jesse instructs Brot to do whatever it takes to keep Natalia from pursuing Kendall and Aidan. My memories of Jesse as a good guy are fading fast. Brot decides to stop Natalia by removing her car’s spark plugs. Sadly, I did not make this up. Brot and Natalia share an intimate moment. The moment is cut short when Natalia finds the spark plugs in Brot’s pocket. “Oh, Brot, is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see—WHAT THE FREAKING HELL ARE MY FREAKING SPARK PLUGS DOING IN YOUR FREAKING POCKET?”
