That's the key - BOTH Nikki and David are in denial. Nikki doesn't want anything to upset the apple cart. She wants to believe David so she closes her eyes to the truth.
"Somehow, both these reveals will intermesh, maybe July summer sweeps. I do think we'll see onscreen therapy at some point. Everything seems to be leading to it."
IA. David's story is heating up in several ways, and I think they'll both come to a climax simultaneously.
