To set the scene, for David to have a bio daughter Adam's age, she has to either pre-date the first marriage or be from a very early first marriage. She wouldn't be old enough from the second marriage to be the Harvard lover.
Secrets can be almost anything:
*Yeah, Mafia ties or any kind of family criminal/refugee background, even something like Brad's.
*Mother dies and she thinks David pulled the plug to collect the insurance money and inheritance.
*David convinced the mother to make it look as if she died and they split the insurance money in a scam, Skye and her mother living under cover all this time, no Daddy around.
*He inadvertently committed a violent criminal act and abandoned Skye and her mother, taking the wealthy grandfather's money as a bribe to leave his family alone and not looking back, or so Skye thinks. The reality could be something quite different.
*He scammed wealthy families with an illegal pyramid scheme he was playing with all the rich cats in town, and if that wasn't enough he got an heiress pg. He was paid a fortune to leave town by the grandfather, with the agreement he never contact his daughter again or have anything to do with his child.
*And so on. LOL The possibilities are endless.
