The first place to look is your local junkyards such as Pull-a-Part. Rare to find them in the yards but every 5 years or so one pops up locally here where I live. I'm not sure your level of mechanical ability, but removing a rear quarter correctly, and then fitting it, and welding it in to your car is not for the faint of heart or amateur backyard mechanic. The rear as you know doesn't bolt on like the front. My advice to you since the 1979 is much rarer than the newer models which have a different rare quarter starting in 1980 I believe, is go on ebay and find a junkyard dismantler seller who is selling a part for a 1979 or older Chevette who has the photo of the car up, and ask about the quarter panel. You will have ur work cut out for you, and will of course have to open your wallet as you will have to specify where you need the cut seams to be while thinking where you or your body man is gonna need to weld it in with the least amount of work, and problems with warpage etc. You will be at the sellers mercy as some will and some wont cut it out for you, and then you have to make sure they aren't cutting out one as bad, or worse than your current bad quarter. Often it is better to patch your existing one, but if it is entirely gone you are best welding one in, but again, it isn't like replacing a starter or alternator. You are gonna have the cost of shipping it too if you find one there. I believe there is a right hand one there for the last few weeks for sale which will give u an idea of what you are dealing with if you are new to body work, and or quarter replacement. Make sure what you pay for, and need is what they are removing before you pay em. Rear quarters suck to replace so if its just inner rot that's not seen, do what I did and cut it out and if needed make new pieces using paper templates, and pop rivet it in if just an inner unseen piece. I have no idea what you are doing without a picture, or how bad off the rot is on the rear quarter.
Best of luck though! Hope the info helps, and perhaps other experienced body guys here can write in with their professional advice.
