I took another shot at measurements this morning.
For height of the glass, I re-measured at center based off of the mirror tab. I got 24.25" again. Due to the curve of the bottom edge this is also the tallest part of the glass, this should make this a easy measurement to repeat accurately.
For the width of the glass across of the front I made a mark at the top of the windshield in the middle (again based off mirror tab) then I measured 12" to each side of that mark along the top edge. From those three marks I measured down 12” and made three marks across the glass, making sure the 2 outer marks were 12” from the center. I then measured across the glass and got 47.75”. This is the same as yesterday as well but I feel more confident about it being accurate.
I measured width across the back of the glass (tape measure not following the curve) at 50.5”. This is the widest part of the glass near the bottom. Its right where the radiuses for the lower corners start.
After I did all that I had an epiphany. The glass I’ve been measuring is an early one and the edges are clear. The later ones that are glued in have a black strip on the glass around the outside edge to hide the glue from view. This is most likely the easiest way to figure out which windshield it is.
Hope this helps, Ra
