Replaced right rear first - had one of the pistons siezed. Bled brakes again and had a high firm pedal almost imediately Thought GREAT I fixed it.
Drove it around rest of the day Saturday and towards the end of the day I had a squishy pedal again. So today I swapped out the left rear - well there was a leaky culprit. Never externally leaked but if you manually pushed the pistons in you could hear it squish and eventually squished rusty fluid out of the boots allowing air into the system. How it always ended up in the right rear I dont know.
So after that and bleeding system again I have a high firm pedal! I freaking should as the master is new, rebuilt front 83+ calipers and new rear wheel cylinders it should be stopping like a new car.
I will say the brake upgrade is very nice and if I get another pre 83 chevette again I'm for sure going to put the bigger brakes on.
time will tell for sure. Thanks everyone for your help!
