I did this swap when I lived in SC and I found a local pluming shop that could make custom rubber brake hoses. They made me a set that had Chevy ends so that they fit the brackets on the wheel well better. (Again I’ll try to get some pics dug up.)
The other gotcha was that the thickness of the steering arms is different. The Impulse spindle has a slightly thinner steering arm. The Chevette outer tie rod nut will not tighten down fully, not enough threads. I used a hardened washer between the tie rod nut and the steering arm. I don’t remember what size the washer was but you need to make sure it doesn’t catch the tapered part of the tie rod shaft. I bought an impulse outer tie rod to check if the inner and out tie rod treads are compatible, but never got around to checking it out. I think I know where it is and I have a spare rack sitting around with tie rods, I can give it a shot this weekend.
