That is all correct. The Woody is a COPO (Central Office Production Order), which makes it a rare bird indeed. I have the original build sheet kept in a safe place. The Woody was sent to the GM Milford Proving grounds for California emissions testing. About 2,000 miles was put on the Woody during that process, and then it was sold to a couple in Redmond, CA who had it for many years. It was likely the first Chevette to get a California SMOG Certificate.
I live in Hutchinson. I had the Woody at the local airport for a show last week. Nothing else planned right now, but I am thinking about taking the Woody to the big regional car show in IOLA, WI next year. I have never seen a nice Chevette there. In fact, I have only seen one or two at IOLA over the years.
I will probably trailer the Woody there. I think it has earned that privilege...
