i was looking hard at these

Khumo brand sr21's. ratings are great.
I can find them locally for $52 a tire. Am i nuts for spending $50+ for chevette tires??? Even el cheapo douglass brand tires are $41... There are a few out there at $30-34 but never heard of them and would take a week to get here...
I drive my car usually locally(usually 20 minutes to get anywhere and 10+ miles) but do take adventures in it (2hour+ weekend drives) occasional 6 hour round trip adventure (3 hours to destination - do my thing - then back) so i want a good tire that wont dryrot in 5 years (7 in this case). I try not to drive in the rain but if i must i will or get caught in it i will.
I looked at the 175/70 tires and they are just a hair smaller in diameter - i need all the diameter i can get.
I did find cracking in the tread in my old tires, also a nail! wondered why one tire while being stored in the winter would go down to 10psi. also one of the valvestems leaked lol....
Anyone need garage roller tires and rims? Or destruction derby tires? Hold air for months and months.
