I am totally new to forums, but I will give it my best shot. I bought a 1980 Chevette yesterday for $500. I've been in love with this type of car for a while, so it was completely an impulse buy. It runs and doesn't seem to have anything obviously wrong with it for $500. I bought it to play with and fix up. However, I'm no mechanic. I cannot find the brake fluid reservoir anywhere from looking under the hood. I will get under it later, but it seems like its normally right there near the firewall... little white tank with a black cap stating the type of brake fluid to use. Am I crazy or blind? The brakes are really slow to respond, so maybe they need to be bled or it needs a new master cylinder, but I don't even know where to start because I don't know where to look. I'm ordering a manual today, but I thought I'd start with some forums for advice. Thanks.
