Well, I deliver pizza in it. It's a rolling pile of crap. It had damn near 200k when I bought it for $280, and barely ran. I've put a LOT of time into it, but not much money. I expected to get about 3 months out of it before it blew up. It's now been 3 years, and it just keeps on going, like the ugliest Energizer Bunny you ever saw. 250 hard city miles a week I put on it, and it never complains. There's nothing on this car that even resembles nice. It's a rolling death trap, and it makes me a metric crapton of money.
I'm looking at a straight cost-benefit analysis here. I'll have lots of time during OU's winter break, so that's not an issue. The issue is money. I'd spend $100 replacing the control arm bushings if it meant I'd get another 7500 miles out of two tires. I'd also spend that same $100 if it would improve my ability to deliver pizza at 60mph in snow that makes everybody else cry and stay home.
