Hi guys, I have posted here a few times before and thought I would show you an article that was written in Diesel Power magazine about the Chevette I fixed up, but had to sell.
The guy who bought it is a writer for diesel power magazine. He told me straight away that he was going to write an article about it, but I didnt believe him at first. I did a lot of work to the car, but my wife and I are starting a family, and the chevette is not exactly the best car to put a car seat in. So onto craigslist it went.
When the guy flew out from Los Angeles, he picked it up, and began to drive back. He only made it about 100 miles before a bearing went in the transmission. They flew back, and then we had the car repaired, and shipped to him.
Apparently the guy (Jason Sands @ Diesel Power Magazine) was good on his word, and wrote an article on the trusty chevette. He actually said some pretty nice stuff about the work I did on the car too!
Anywhoo, I thought all you guys would get a kick out of the article... And my old chevette. BTW, I ran it on JetA fuel(kerosene) for over a year, and it performed awesome... I kinda miss the old Vette!
