Im still trying to figure out why my pedal can change from high and firm to squishy in a matter of a week or so after bleeding them.
I noticed when i first bought my chevette the calipers were sluggish and wouldnt release. I bought rebuilt calipers from orileys and it made a big difference. (in sticky brakes)
i got to thinking that if worn rotors would cause braking issues... my thinking is that since thier thinner the piston in the caliper has to come out more which could let air get into the system/ let the wheel hang up...
Ive replaced nearly every damn thing on the car brake wise: front calipers, rubber hoses all around, rear wheel cylinders, front pads, rear shoes, new rear drum hardware (all but self adjusters), new hardlines accross the rear axle, been thru 3 rebuilt master cylinders before settiling on this new one, and somehow it still gets frickin air in it! Now it drops fluid level and i never see any drips or wet spots, no puddles and all lines are dry....
the only thing i can think of is a wheel is hanging up causing it to boil the brake fluid away and cause air in the system....
does the above make any sense?
anyone have any other suggestions short of replaceing ALL the hardlines?
