Problem Solved!!!
Tested the starter by jumpering the soleniod as per Rick's suggestion, and there was no sparking - dead. Checked it with a voltmeter and zero volts from the battery. That narrowed it down.
Battery reads 12.8 volts - fine. At this point it had to be a wiring issue. Turns out that the crimp connection on the positive side of the screw-on battery connector did not have the insulation properly stripped back before it was crimped in place. The battery was simply not getting a proper flow of electricity to the Woody. I guess even new parts can be faulty.
The (easy) fix:
Removed the faulty connector from the positive battery terminal, snipped off the connector, stripped back the cable insulation, replaced the battery connector with a new one, and re-installed the connector on the positive battery terminal.
The 'ole Woody is running like a champ again!!
Thanks for the help.
