Jody, Sorry i didn't see this sooner. Its been awhile but i think that for mine i got a sender for the van i got it out of. I put the sender in place of the the warning light switch. The wire from the switch to the gage also goes to the ignition switch (to ground the circuit during starting and show that the light works) i cut the wire at the ignition switch to make sure i didn't harm the guage.
I'm speaking from memory here but i'm fairly sure thats what i did. Good luck with your swap.
