You can carefully replace the cam rack on a stone cold engine draining the coolant pull the valve covers pull the head bolts clean the threads set a replacement cam rack oil the head bolt threads reinstall and re torque to spec. We have done this several times over the years with success. If you need a cam and rack I have them and if you need additional info let me know # 425-876-3075.
