Well, a month ago or so I posted something about my clutch squeaking in reverse. It's a 1981 Scooter with a 4-speed and an aftermarket clutch with 10-15k miles on it. I didn't do the replacement. Now, it squeaks in first or second gear, but only when decelerating. Of course, with all the other noises and squeaks from the suspension, it's hard to isolate, but if I hold a steady speed or accelerate, there's no noise. The clutch also feels as if it's slipping at high speed, especially for a minute or so after a shift. I can't, however, make it slip fully with the e-brake on. It will slip a lot going up a huge hill with 3 passengers. Does this just indicate clutch failure? Or maybe a less serious problem?
Oh, and I forgot to mention, I leak transmission lube like the dickens. I'm pretty sure I'm not empty, but the last oil change jockeys put the fill plug in with an air ratchet, and I can't get it off to save my life.
