Well, of the many brands of tires I've had on my car, Firestones lasted the longest and performed the best. Of course, I run the factory spec tires, not the slightly wider ones everybody else uses. Anyway, I'm pretty sure they're $35 out the door. Sometimes you can catch a buy 3 get one free deal. Nobody else in SE Ohio can beat them by more than a couple of bucks for shitty tires.
No, I've never heard of Mr. Tire. We do have Monroe, and they have bad, bad deals on 13's. When I had a Honda Civic, I got my 14's there and they were cheaper.
