OK, so. Just in case somebody else has to google Chevette ballstud nut lost size, here's the scoop. The ballstud is an M12x1.5, and a 5/16 8-point socket will fit on the square head. It's not a perfect fit, but then it's not that tight so it doesn't matter. I'm going to replace the clutch cable tomorrow, so wish me luck.
