As I was sitting/stopped, I engaged the clutch into 1st gear and a loud bang occurred. Engine stopped/stalled? and I pushed car to side of road. Tried to restart and nothing happened. 75,000 original miles on the car and I had lost some power over the past few days. Due to weather and work, I cannot open car up until later next week... So is it wishful thinking that the belt may have broken with minimal damage due to interference? Car was not in motion... I will keep updates posted.... Look forward to guesses, bets and speculation... Hilljack
