Good to see you back on line Mark.
If Chevy made an 86 Chevette or an 80's Malibu, that is what I would buy, But since they haven't built a decent car since that time that is out.
We haven't bought anything yet but to the disapointment to all the people here, I am still hunting down a new Mustang, an 06 or 07 pony. No, I am not a ford person, never have been but they have built a car that has quality ( albeit that is likely a mistake) and has what I want... Too bad GM doesn't build 3 simple things into a Vehicle anymore that I MUST have.
Rear wheel drive
A manual transmission
And not a truck!
And it is North American
Too bad, and I DO feel bad 
about that but, I have waited till my Chevettes turned 20, and logged about 400,000 between all of them. (iron butt)I may come back some day when they wake up, maybe this will help to make them do so. Sorry GM, That is long enough to wait for you to build a real car again. Damn, it can't be that dificult can it? The Chevettes did outstandingly, they now deserve to come off front line service and be "fun" cars.
