Thanks! I started out by making a cardboard template of the passenger side. I used my Sandpiper to get the shape. Unfortunaly found some rust holes in it in the process. I'll deal with those later.
For the passenger side I used metal from a hood. I laid out my template, made the initial cuts but kept it as one peice. Then I put it in the car and started tacking and shaping.
For the driver's side I used a section of floor out of an 80 Malibu wagon that was going to the crusher. It gave me lots of strenth. Again lots of tacking and shaping with hammers.
