One of my local salvage yards has three complete Chevettes. The owner is really cool and bends over backwards to make customers happy. He promised me he would never crush any of the three Chevettes without contacting me to give me a little notice. Well, I live in southeast Iowa, and if youve been watching the news lately youve seen all the flooding going on in this area. The boneyard just happens to be in the fork where the Mississippi and DesMoines rivers meet and the chevettes are 18 feet underwater! What a shame! I guess this will make parts in my area harder to find. Thank goodness for Rick Drake!(hope your on the high ground rick).
There are only 2 other chevettes that I see driving around in my local area, its funny that when I see a Chevette on the road it stands out like glowing neon light, I can notice a 'vette from a mile away. Does anyone else in the forum have this sixth sense also?? Pete
