The brazilian chevettes dont have turbos. They are all custom add ons. Its a little odd how common of a mod it is though considering how rare it is in the states.
Its kinda like saturns in that respect... The Saturn S-Series never had a turbo. There is no bolt on kit being manufactured. But I wouldnt have a problem finding 20+ people that have one or have had one on their S-Series. I know theres a ton of others out there too.
As for the head question...
Cheapest way I could think of to check would be to get a head gasket for the american engine and compare it to the brazilian block. If everything matches up then you might be good to go. Or at least good enough to get a head and see how it actually fits.
