Well it's not set in stone, and it took me awhile to get approved by the city, but I am wanting to do on-site oil changes. I go to the customer's work place or residence and change their oil, top off the fluids, check air filter, etc etc etc. Jiffy Lube on wheels so to speak.
The city denied me a year and a half ago, something about code #BR549 not allowing on-site auto servicing or repair. I saw in the newspaper recently a new business that does mobile detailing, so that got the wheels turning in my head again. Apparently since 2006, the city codes have changed because i have now been approved.
I've called all the local quick lubes and got their prices and what's included in their services. From what i've researched, I can be very competitive with their prices (within $1 - $3) go to the customer instead of them coming to me, and still make a decent profit. The key is going to be trying to do more than 1 service per location. I'm thinking of giving discounts for 3+ services at one location. A little incentive to get the customer's to tell their co-workers and family.
Maybe you guys can help me come up with a name? Most of the good ones are already taken, like Oil-N-Go, Lube 2 Go, Lube On Location. Any creative names you guys could come up with would be appreciated!
What you got in mind Jody? Can you create a logo once a name is selected?
Thanks
Stephen
