Unfortunately, cooking foals or young burros in the ground is not a joke. It was a tradition for many years, and a way to cull the hred and provide meat at the same time....
Life at times is harsh, but this was necessary slaughter. Done by folks that knew how to preserve the land and the integrity of the herd.
