My mother's grandfather was Paul (Pappy) Sykes on her mother's side. Her name was Mattie Sykes. She married Joseph "Joe" Davis otherwise known at Mattie Sykes Parker Davis. Joe was her second m=husband. Pappy had a son named Oliver. I remembered some of his children. Are you one of them. Who was your mother and what is your name before Samuels? Do you stll live in Virginia. Guess what, I have some information from Sussex County on O.M. Sykes who was Paul's father. We need to talk. We are about to write a book on our family history (Sykes) but we still have some missing pieces to put in. You may just be one of those that can fill it in. Thanks for responding.
