Would anyone have information about the Ray family in Southampton Co Va in the 1770's? My ancestor was George ray. He had sons Samuel,Solomon and Mark Ray. They were probaly born in the 1770's. I do not know what George Ray's wife's name was but it might have been Rchel. George Ray and family went to NC then to Wilkes co Ga by the early to mid 1780's. there was a Henrietta Ray who married a William Head and a Howell Ray that seemed to live close to George Ray in every county he lived in. They might have been George Ray's children. I don't know. I can not find who George Ray's parents were. I have seen the name spelled Wray also. any help greatly appreciated. Thanks,Ross
