I am searching for the fist wife of JOSIAH CLIFTON b. 1762 probably in Southampton Co. but possibly in York Co. His father was THOMAS CLIFTON,his mother LYDIA Unknown last name and was probably a member of the Angilican Church. His sisters were SARAH (m. James Blake) REBECCA, DORTHY and MARY MASSY (m. Isham Blake), his brother was SAMUEL CLIFTON b. 1758. JOSIAH CLIFTON moved to Wake Co. NC in 1789; his 1st living son was JOHN JENKINS CLIFTON. I can find no record of his marriage in either NC or VA. Would apperciate any info. Thanks Brenda
