I located an Ellixson family member from Kentucky and she found a photograph of James S. Ellixson among her grandmother's belongings. On the back of the photograph was the birth and death date for James.
He was b. 3/25/1819 in NC and d. 6/21/1914. I was told he died in Petersburg, VA, while living on Sycamore Street, but cannot verify this.
Cannot find him listed in any state in the 1910 census.
Any help or suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciate.
