I am looking for info on Crowders. My Grandmother's father was Lewis Phillip Crowder born July 1847 in Petersburg. His mother's name was Mary born abt 1811 or 1812. I found them in the 1870 census and 1860 census. His brothers were John, James H, Richard L, as listed on the 1860 census. I am trying to find out Lewis's fathers name and his mother's maiden name. His father is not listed on either census so I guess he had died. The youngest child in 1860 was a 4 year old girl named Cornalis?? not sure of spelling.
Any info you might have that would help me to trace this family would be helpful and appreciated.
Lewis Phillip Crowder moved to Richmond and was a paper manufacturer in the 1900's.
