Oma C Powell was my grandfather, I am doing a little look up on the time he and his family lived in Petersburg. I understand that in app.1914, to 1920 he had a shoe shop or factory. He had a contract with the government to make boots for the soldiers. He died soon after the war, from drinking tainted water from a spring.His wifes name was myrtle, and they had a household full of kids. Anyone have any information?
