Looking for the family of Daniel Wells resided Dinwiddy/Petersburg area 1830/40. His daughter Virginia A.(Jane)Wells b. about 1828 married Charles Gilbert of Ct. and had son charles in Petersburg about 1848. This family went back to Ct.(1850 cen.) and family tradition says Charles was involved with a silk mill in the Petersburg area. Daniel is not in the 1850 census but his widow probably is but who is she?
