We have family letters that say Francis and Hoyt Gray were sent to Dr. Maybe's orphanage in Petersburg, VA in 1912. We know they took on the legal names Francis Gray Brown and Hoyt Gray Brown. Has anyone ever heard of this orphanage? Would anyone know how to obtain these records?
