Looking for information about the William Collett family which migrated from the Baltimore MD area to the Petersburg area between 1846 and 1859. William was a wool merchant. He died at Factory Hill VA 21 Dec 1867. His wife Mary Hickson Collett died in Factory Hill 23 Oct 1862. By the way where is Factory Hill? They were both born in Wiltshire England. Their daughter Jane, my GGrandmother, was married 7 July 1867 in Petersburg.Daughter Ellin died in Petersburg 13 Aug 1859 and daughter Amanda died in Petersburg in May 1924.
