The Schedule for the Baltimore MDFFA Tournament, August 14-16
We are looking forward to a great weekend of football, starting with Friday night's 4-man tournament at CCBC Essex and continuing with the 9-man tournament on Saturday and Sunday on the turf fields at CCBC Essex and CCBC Dundalk.
I've included the driving directions between both colleges from Mapquest, so it should be pretty easy to find the fields. Follow this link:
http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1qn=CCBC+Essex&1c=Rosedale&1s=MD&1a=7201+Rossville+Blvd&1z=21237&1y=US&1l=39.354102&1g=-76.48494&1v=ADDRESS&2c=Dundalk&2s=MD&2pn=ccbc+dundalk#a/maps/l:CCBC+Essex:7201+Rossville+Blvd:Rosedale:MD:21237:US:39.354102:-76.48494:address::1/l:CCBC+Dundalk:7200+Sollers+Point+Rd:Baltimore:MD:21222:US:39.263814:-76.515638:address::1/m::9:39.310768:-76.499446:0:::::1:1:1::/io:1:::::f:EN:M:/e
The 4-man tournament has an 8 team field, and is going to kickoff at 6pm. The opening schedule is as follows:
2009 MDFFA Baltimore 4-man Challenge
Friday Opening Round
Times
CCBC-Essex A (nearest bleachers)
CCBC-Essex B (farthest from bleachers)
6pm
Red Knights vs Untouchables
Halls vs Underdawgs
6:30pm
D4 vs NJ Titans
Raleigh Thunder vs www.mdflagfootball.com
The 9-man tournament hosts pool play on Saturday, and single elimination on Sunday. Because we only have 10 teams registered, there will be one champion and everyone will compete in the same division. There were only 4 B teams registered, unfortunately, after we lost several teams over the last few days. The Saturday schedule is as follows:
2009 MDFFA Baltimore 9-man Challenge
Saturday Pool Play
CCBC-Essex
9am Martech-Infantry
10:15 Packers-Infantry
11:30 Packers-Martech
12:45 Bengals-FE Blackhawks
2pm Blaze-FE Blackhawks
3:15 Blaze-Bengals
CCBC-Dundalk
9am Scorpions-Harford Hurricanes
10:15 Trojans-Harford Hurricanes
11:30 Trojans-MetroDawgs
12:45 Scorpions-MetroDawgs
I've also attached the weekend schedule as a word document, so you can see the times for the Sunday single elimination.
REMIND YOUR PLAYERS THAT ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED ON COLLEGE GROUNDS AND WILL BE CAUSE FOR ARREST AND PROSECUTION. There are no warnings, and tournament officials will expel and call the police on anyone drinking at our venues.
We look forward to the weekend, and see you all soon.
