I am a firm believer that speed does not make a better race.
I think the Nascar trucks at Eldora is a great race, and they, are running a couple seconds slower then the stock cars.
Asphalt weekly racing will soon fizzle out if some big changes are not made. Some where someone has to come up with a formula, and rule it with a iron fist. And keep technology out, other then safety. Racer have always been and will continue to overspend, and soon are gone.
Their is hardly any just car owners left. Who hires a driver to win races, because of their own spending habits.
Even your Pure Stock probably cost you $300 ever time you unload it. By the time you figure in fuel, pit passes, a tire or two for the trailer.
and hundreds of different things people never realize. The fuel to heat the garage when your working in the winter. granted these expenses have always been their, but we keep changing things and spending more for no reason.
I would rather watch 24 cars running 17 seconds at the bowl then 10 running 13 seconds.
